Our Philosophy

I build products with longevity and sustainability in mind. I often use precious materials, but do so in furnishings that are made to last for generations. I am not someone who will use cheap wood to make a table that you will throw away in five years. Instead, I will use quality materials in a responsible way, delivering a treasure for you and an heirloom that your children can hold onto.

I want to work with you to discover exactly what you want. I want the furniture I build to reflect your values. That’s what I mean by custom made. You come to me with a picture from a magazine or give me the exact design and specs, and I will build what you ask. I often work with interior designers and architects who have found me through word of mouth, and who are helping you create a space with one-of-a-kind furniture to fulfill the dreams that you’ve been envisioning.

Our Name

My mother’s maiden name was Lambert. My dad’s name was Holmes. My father was a chemistry professor and had an analytical mind. My mother is a creative chef. I embody both of their right- and left-brain attributes and my furniture is functional as well as artistic. I wanted to honor both my parents for what they gave me, which is why I named my company, Lambert Holmes.

About Me

I have been building furniture since I was 10 years old. My father was a tinkerer and together, we built and created in our small workshop in the garage. I’ve continued in this spirit long into my adulthood, taking his inspiration to become my profession. I consider myself a “product person,” who loves to interact with an object’s function and beauty. I bring this attitude when I cook, when I weld, when I cut wood and when I design and implement computer software. What keeps me passionate? Always learning a new technique to push a project forward.  I love taking on new and interesting projects as it keeps me learning and meeting new people.
